Great location and facilities, very helpful host . Fun place to stay with Family .
I booked out the hostel with 10 friends for my birthday weekend and we loved it.
A really good location in Windermere with nice bars, restaurants and shops right nearby, and a 20 minute walk to Bowness and the lake.
It was lovely and clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped for a large group.
Check in was very easy with a pincode so no need to pick up keys.
Parking is on-street as its the centre of Windermere and only free within certain times but the train station is just round the corner so we parked there which was £19 for 3 days so not bad 🙂

The accommodation was perfect for a group of our size, we had the whole place to ourselves and had the best time! The property was clean and beds so comfortable, great location in the heart of Windermere. Our host Amanda was so accommodating and gave us so many great recommendations. Would absolutely come again! Amazing Stay in an Amazing Place!!!!
Myself and partner have just returned from our stay at Lakes Hostel in Windermere and it was AMAZING!! The location was perfect and within a minutes walk to the local supermarkets, pubs and restaurants which was just what we were looking for. The cleanliness of the accommodation was impeccable with not a particle of dust or dirt in sight. I am extremely fussy when sleeping in a bed other than my own but i slept extremely well and the rooms were really well thought out with all electricity points where you would need them. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering purposes with everything required to cook a Michelin star meal (not that we did as we ate out most nights ). The host was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Will most definitely will be visiting again!! If you are wondering weather you should go BOOK IT you will not be disappointed. Thank you all for an amazing holiday in Windermere!!
