Clean, comfortable, great location and very helpful host at the Lakes Hostel!!
The Lakes Hostel is an Amazing place for a family holiday and would also recommend it for groups of friends. So comfortable and clean, the beds are so so comfy. We all absolutely loved the unique toilets and the little touches such as the lights and chairs in the kitchen 😍 Self catering heaven. Everything was on the doorstep and it was so easy to shop. We particularly loved Booths supermarket nearby and Fizzy Tarte for cocktails as recommended by our host. There is so much to do for all ages!! Everything we needed was in the kitchen so thank you so much for making it an easier holiday for us after a long travel. Our host organised dinner for us and it worked really well being with a large group of people. Thanks so much for being helpful!! We will be back for sure, thanks for a great stay and great memories. We are feeling happy and relaxed.

A great gem of a hostel, set in a great location. From start to finish the host Amanda has been great. the Hostel was easy to find and get into, and had everything you could need for a great time away. We had full occupancy of the hostel, but even if we didn't I would have still felt safe leaving personal and valuable items there, due to the separate door codes and lockers for each guest. Very comfy beds, great sized dining and living area and very clean. Would easily recommend the accommodation and host to anyone.

Myself and a couple of friends stayed at lakes hostel for a long weekend and had the best time ever! The location is just perfect! The hostel is such a great space and was immaculately clean, it had everything we could possibly need! If anyone is looking for a place to stay in the Lake District I cannot recommend this place enough!
Quirky hostel and good location. We booked for a group of friends for the weekend and had a good time. Good facilities and clean. Beds had curtains so there is privacy in the rooms so can recommend for individual stays and group bookings.
The hostel is brilliant for a large family group to book out, the rooms are characterful and super clean. The beds are so comfortable, everyone loved them. A great location for Windermere too, with many cafes, pubs and outdoor walks on your doorstep. There is early bird £1 all day parking about 5mins walk for the hostel too, if you have multiple cars as we did. A really great weekend!
